Shoma: When I moved to Florida I was lonely, so I joined a church and they welcomed me with open arms. They helped me find my way in the city, and I felt connected to something bigger than me. I think Jesus wanted me to see that I was part of something bigger. I felt his support during that time in my life, and it helped me walk out of depression. This painting is a representation of those times, when I felt the love, compassion, and guidance of Jesus, like I was the lamb, just held and cared for.
Sunny: When we moved to Ocala, I started having deep talks about life with Greg, our next-door neighbor. Greg is a Christian who showed me how Christianity and Spirituality are the same language, just spoken with different accents. He’s been my brother in Christ and we’re walking the same path, with our dogs dragging us in whatever direction smells interesting. Fun fact: we used our golden retriever, Bliss, as the inspiration for the lamb!
